Aengus Finnan rarely performs publicly these days and Bev and I are thrilled to be hosting him in a virtual concert this Friday evening benefiting The Village Fund.  It has been over 8 years since Aengus performed in our living room and we had him scheduled to return this May to help us celebrate our 10th season of house concerts.

  • A crowd favorite at festivals throughout Canada and the US, including the Kerrville Folk Festival

Folk Alliance Official House Concert

The Village Fund

  • A grant program for folk artists and independent music industry professionals experiencing financial hardship
  • Administered by Folk Alliance International (FAI)
  • FAI has committed $25,000 from its reserve and hopes to raise an additional $75,000 in public support for the fund in order to initially distribute 200 grants of $500
  • FAI members and those who have participated in FAI events over the past three years are eligible to apply for grants
  • A simple “financial need” verification process will place all applicants into an eligible pool, and recipients will then be drawn by lottery.
