The Florida-based duo, Flagship Romance, describe their music as ‘Harmonic Alternative Folk.’ With eclectic compositions and a unique vocal blend, their chemistry-filled live show has been described as energetic, dynamic, and engaging. Shawn and Jordyn have appeared at festivals such as the Florida Folk Festival, Strangecreek Campout, and the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival and shared stages with international acts including Half Moon Run, Iris DeMent, Mason Jennings, and the Goo Goo Dolls. Their preferred performance scenario is an intimate venue where the audience is tucked up close enough to them that they can hear them breathe (and, unfailingly, gasp at Shawn and Jordyn’s chemistry and dynamics). Their first full length album, Fee Fie Foh Fum, debuted in the top 10 on the Roots Alternative Airplay charts in 2015. They plan to release their second full length album later this year.
Shawn and Jordyn do more than write, sing, and entertain. They are impacting the lives of others by aligning their musical career with the clean water cause via the organization charity: water. In August 2012, they founded and organized the Clean Water Music Fest in Florida, to raise funding and awareness for the 800 million people on this planet without access to safe, clean drinking water. Since then, they have raised over $125,000; 100% of that money is currently being used for well building and tap-stand projects in Ethiopia, Rwanda, and the Sahel region of Africa.
