In a previous life, Austin-based singer/songwriter Terry Klein was in a thrash funk/heavy metal band in Los Angeles. He describes the band as “pretty good” and they played places like the famed Whiskey A Go Go and the Troubadour. He’s also worked in factories, in hospitals, and as a political operative. More recently, Terry built a successful law practice in Boston, then gave it up to move to Austin and write songs that come from his own experiences. Listen to Terry’s songs and you’ll know that we are benefiting from him having made the right choice. He has released three albums. The first two, which were produced by Walt Wilkins, garnered praise from Mary Gauthier and Rodney Crowell. His most recent album, Good Luck, Take Care, released earlier this year, was produced by Grammy nominated Thomm Jutz has drawn comparisons to the likes of Guy Clark, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Terry Allen, and Steve Earle. Terry tours throughout the US and Europe and has played such legendary folk clubs as Club Passim, The Bluebird, and Anderson Fair.
